Is my domain included?
Your domain is the one thing you buy separately, and it usually runs about $15 to $20 a year. We'll handle all the technical setup and connect it to your site. If you already own yourauthorname.com, we'll connect that instead. And if you've never registered a domain before, we'll walk you through it.
Buying it yourself is a good thing. Your name online belongs to you, permanently, no matter who builds or hosts your website.
My book isn't out yet. Should I wait?
No. This is actually the best time to build your site.
Agents, editors, event organizers and early readers all look you up, and many of them do it well before your book is available. Having a real website when they search makes you look like a professional author rather than someone hoping to become one.
There's a practical reason too. Every reader who finds you before launch day and signs up for your newsletter is someone you can tell when your book is finally out. Build that list now and launch day starts with an audience instead of silence.
Your page can go live with your bio, your photo and a "coming soon" section, then grow as your cover, preorder links and release date come together. Sending us those pieces as they arrive is exactly what your monthly update is for.
Can I add more books later?
Yes, and we expect you to. Your page is built to hold a growing list of titles.
When your next book comes out, email us the cover, the description and your buy links, and we'll add it. Same for a new edition, an audiobook release or a box set. That's your monthly update, so there's no extra charge.
If you write a long series and the page eventually gets crowded, we'll talk about giving your books their own page. Until then, one page handles more books than most authors expect.
What happens if I cancel?
Your website is yours. It's a real WordPress site on the domain you own, so nothing is locked up.
Give us 30 days' notice and we'll prepare everything for handover so you can move your site to another host or another developer. No penalties, no exit fees, and no holding your work hostage. We'd rather you stay because the service is worth it than because leaving is painful.
How long does it take?
Your site will be ready for you to review within 5 business days of us receiving everything we need from you.
Here's how it goes: you choose your template and fill out one intake form with your bio, photo, book details and links. We build the page. You review it and tell us what to change. We make your changes and your site goes live.
The part that takes the longest is usually gathering your own material, so the sooner you send it, the sooner you launch. If something isn't ready yet, don't wait for it. We can launch without it and add it with your next monthly update.
Can I add pages later?
Yes. One page is where most authors should start, but it isn't a ceiling.

How Does it Work?
Once you have paid the launch fee for your author website, we will send you a simple intake form to collect the information we need; your template choice, your bio, photos, videos, social media, contact details, design preferences etc. Once we receive your completed form and all necessary media files, your site enters our build queue.
You'll receive a review link within five business days. After your approval, we'll launch the site and send you login details.
The initial hosting and maintenance fee will be collected on the first day of the following month.
